The following dates are valid for the 2017 competition year.
Participant Registration Deadline
March 31, 2017
To participate in the competition please register your company online. Registration will remain open until March 31st. Your password protected user profile enables you to set up and edit up to six competition entries.
April 21, 2017
Competition entries may be submitted through your personal user profile until April 21st. A registration fee is due for each submitted application.
April – May 2017
At the end of the submission deadline, all entries are comprehensively assessed for the purposes of verifying the fulfilment of participation requirements.
May – June 2017
Among all complete submissions the Award Jury nominates a limited amount of product solutions to enter the competition. Participation fees become due upon acceptance of a nomination.
Production Period, Delivery of Competition Entries
July – August 2017
The production period entails: Planning and production of the exhibition and PR materials, collection of texts and images for all nominated entries, delivery of original competition entries for the award exhibition at IFA.
Adjudication and Award Exhibition at IFA
September 1 – 6, 2017
The Jury adjudication of all competition entries takes place in the Award exhibition prior to the opening of IFA. All nominated product solutions and concepts are presented to the public, trade and press in an exhibition at the IFA show.
Award Ceremony at IFA
September 2, 2017
The Winners in the Jury categories ‘UX Design Award’, ‘UX Design Award | Concept’ and ‘UX Design Award | Gold’ are announced in a festive ceremony, taking place in the framework of the IFA show.
September – October 2017
All nominated competition entries participate in a public online poll for the ‘UX Design Award | Public Choice’. The Winner is announced in the first half of November of the running year.
