How to Submit
Digital submissions may be registered via a password protected registration portal.
In the private online participant profile, up to six competition entries may be securely set up, edited and digitally submitted. A registration fee is due for submitted entries only.
Participants need to submit the following data: Contact information of the submitting entity, product description and images, product film (optional), descriptions of the submission’s UX qualities und the implemented user research.
Upon expiration of the submission deadline, entries are reviewed to confirm their compliance with competition regulations.
Among all valid submissions, an expert Jury nominates a limited number of competition participants.
The selected participants may decline from their nomination within a notification period of seven days. For accepted nominations, nomination fees become due.
Nominated product solutions and concepts must be delivered as fully functional original products or prototypes respectively. All nominated entries are assessed by the competition jury in private sessions in order to determine each year’s award winners.
Nominee Exhibition and Award Ceremony
All award nominees are presented to the trade audience, press and public at the IFA technology show in Berlin.
Winners of the jury categories “UX Design Award”, “UX Design Award | Concept” and “UX Design Award | Gold” are announced in a festive ceremony during the IFA show.
Besides the jury awards, all competition nominees participate in an extensive public online poll. The result determines the winner of the title “UX Design Award | Public Choice”.
Voting starts with the IFA show opening and lasts until the end of October of the current year. The winner of the public choice award is publicly announced in November.
